Nothing Much Is Happening--Or Is It?

I hope everyone who was eligible has received their FAIR rebate from NJ State. What a hassle that was!

Cheryl & I attended a Presidents & Treasurers Meeting sponsored by AKAM in NYC. We got to meet two Board members from the only other NJ property AKAM manages. Even the speakers--Mortgage lenders, CPA's, etc. all emphasized the tremendous increase in expenses due to utilities, personnel, & insurance costs sky-rocketing. The 2006 Budget and the maintenance increase that will be needed to cover these increased expenses is not going to be a pleasant experience, to say the least.

Well--this is a downer-blog. Haunted House
Maybe I can find a Halloween Smiley to cheer things up a bit. That's nice--a haunted house. Perhaps it's the goblins who are responsible for the leaks from the roof!

No, It Hasn't!

Almost 10 days later--and it's still raining. Well, not continuously, we did have a few really beautiful days--but here we go again! I just went to a Jersey Shore Bed & Breakfast for a three-day watercolor painting retreat--boy, was there water!

Champagne, Nuts, Hot Cider & FOG!

It was fun to sit around & chat with all the hard working FOGGies! We talked about what went right and what we can do better next time. Of course, this was a special occasion for a very special person. Next year will be more of a traditional Garden Party, and more in the style of the original "pot luck" affairs, with everyone pitching in. The coming Holiday Parties were also discussed. It was suggested that the Board Chairperson put out a request for committee volunteers.

It was a pleasure to spend an evening with cooperative, productive people, who can set goals and accomplish them!

And thank you, June, for sharing your home full of beautiful artwork with the rest of us.

Cheers
